Bistro Mistral ("we," "our," "us") operates two restaurants in Houston — Bellaire and Memorial — and the website at bistromistralhouston.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, place an order, make a reservation, or contact us, and how we use it. We collect only what we need to serve you well, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

Information we collect

The information we collect falls into a few buckets, depending on how you interact with us:

• When you contact us through a form on this website (general contact, private events, careers, VIP list signup): your name, email address, phone number (if provided), preferred location, and the message or details you submit.
• When you place an online pickup order: your name, contact info, items ordered, payment information (handled directly by Square — see "Third-party services" below), and the location you ordered from.
• When you make a reservation: your reservation is handled by OpenTable; we receive only the booking details OpenTable shares with us (party size, date/time, name).
• Basic website analytics: anonymized traffic data such as which pages you visit, the device type and browser you use, the country your visit originates from, and how you arrived (referring site, search query, social link). We do not track you across other websites.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us to:

• Respond to your inquiry, fulfill your order, or confirm your reservation.
• Send transactional messages related to your order or reservation (confirmation emails or text messages, pickup-ready notifications, review requests after a visit).
• With your explicit opt-in, send occasional marketing emails about seasonal menus, events, and offers. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
• Improve our website and operations — for example, by understanding which pages help guests find a menu most efficiently.
• Keep your Google Business Profile listings (hours, address, phone) in sync between this website and Google so you always see current information when searching for us.

Third-party services we rely on

We use a small set of trusted third-party services to run our operations. Each is bound by its own privacy policy, and we share with each only the minimum information needed for the service to work:

• HighLevel — our customer relationship platform. Stores form submissions, opt-ins, and the email/SMS history we have with you.
• Square — processes payments for online and in-restaurant orders. Card information is collected and stored by Square directly; we never see or store your card number.
• OpenTable — handles all online reservation bookings on our reservation pages.
• Google — powers our Business Profile listings and (in some cases) the embedded maps on our website.
• Cloudflare — hosts the website and provides anonymized aggregate analytics.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party for advertising or any other purpose.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses a small number of cookies to keep your session working (for example, remembering which location you selected) and to provide anonymized analytics. Embedded reservation and ordering widgets from OpenTable and Square may set their own cookies governed by those services' policies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some interactive features may not work as expected if you do.

Data retention

We keep order and reservation records as long as needed for accounting, tax, and operational purposes (typically 7 years, per state record-keeping guidance for restaurants). Marketing-list contact info is kept until you unsubscribe. Form submissions kept for up to 3 years for continuity of conversation.

Your choices and rights

You can, at any time, ask us to:

• See what information we have about you.
• Correct any information that is inaccurate.
• Delete your information from our systems (subject to record-keeping requirements above).
• Stop sending you marketing messages (also via any unsubscribe link).

Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

We use HTTPS, restricted access controls, and reputable third-party providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry best practices and respond promptly to any incident.

When we update this policy we will revise the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be highlighted on the website.
